Halloween 2013

We had so much fun with Halloween this year. We went back and forth on what Lawson's costume would be, but ended up deciding on a cowboy. The night before Halloween we went to the Trunk-or-Treat event our church did. It was raining and cold, so everything ended up being moved inside. It went well and Lawson was SUCH a good boy. I think it would have been more fun for him if it had been outside since we ended up carrying him most of the time in an effort to avoid losing him in the crowd.

All-in-all, Lawson did very well with his costume. He pulled at the bandanna a little at first, but the he was good with it all.

He rode all the way to Fort Smith like this. He held his pumpkin up. Not just on his lap, but held it up. He seemed genuinely excited even though he had no idea what was next. Love that!

They had a fire engine and an ambulance there, which Lawson loved. I think he's eyeballing the ambulance in this pic.

Isn't he precious? I even got him to say, "Howdy, ma'am." A few times. My friend Brockette heard him so she'll vouch for me. :-) You gotta love a cute cowboy who says howdy ma'am.

We saw my Nanna, Auntie Stephanie, Addison, Auntie Carla and her crew at Trunk-or-Treat, so on Halloween night we just went to my Dad's. Aunt Kristen and cousin Ashton stopped by to see our little cowboy too. We added a few things to the costume (that we forgot the night before) on Halloween night.

This kid loves his Grandpa. Some days I think Grandpa is his favorite. Jason and I are even chopped liver when Grandpa is around.

Gigi got some love too. She did give him his treats...donuts!!! Does it mean he's spoiled when they go out and buy specific treats for him to come trick-or-treat for? I'm thinking yes.

This child LOVES little donuts... OK, really, he loves all donuts. Grandpa and Gigi made sure he got plenty. And, we even let him have a couple that night.

Lately Lawson is VERY intrigued by the guitar. He pretends to play it on his little arm, and always points it out when he sees someone on TV or at church playing. Well, as if he didn't already think Grandpa was the best thing since sliced bread, Grandpa has a guitar, AND he let Lawson play it!!! This kid loved it. We have wanted to buy him one for a month or so, but we are trying to make ourselves wait until Christmas. We'll see how that works out. Haha. :-)

Most of the cowboy costume got put away, but he still wants to wear his boots all the time. I'm sure the little Wranglers will make another appearance or two at some point as well.
