Tulsa Mini Vacation: The Aquarium

After our quick Bass Pro trip and a little lunch, we headed to the Oklahoma Aquarium. I think maybe Lawson is still too young for this or something. He just wasn't that interested. He mostly wanted to run around in circles hollering and yelling gibberish, which normally would be super fun and very much okay. In a public place where others are actually trying to enjoy the exhibits...not so much. Poor guy. He HAD been in the car all morning. Oh well, live and learn. :-)
He looks all excited, but I'm pretty sure that's because he was getting to run.

I'm not sure what was in either of these exhibits. There's no time for reading signs when you're on the move.

He loves riding on Daddy's shoulders, but was not nearly as excited about watching the piranha feeding that was supposed to be going on. Maybe next time.

If all else fails and the kid won't be have, feed him to the shark. Ha!

His face in this picture makes me think he got the joke about feeding him to the sharks and was not amused.

Head first.

He did manage to slow down a bit to watch the sharks swim over in the shark tunnel.

Don't you just love when the only picture you get with your kid is one where his eyes are closed. Grrrr. The fish are sure pretty though aren't they?

He actually took a minute and sat down here. I think he liked all the bright colors.

I think Jason and I would agree that the aquarium wasn't our favorite part of the trip. To be honest, we were only there for like 45minutes, and we sat in the car in the parking lot for five minutes afterward trying to decide if we even wanted to attempt the zoo. We may be wound a little tight, but it was just a little stressful. I think I was sweating by the time we left. Haha!
